Sausage and Pepper Tortellini Pasta

Ingredients:
• 1 pound Italian sausage, casing removed
• 1 red bell pepper, sliced
• 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
• 1 green bell pepper, sliced
• 1 small onion, thinly sliced
• 3 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 package (20 ounces) cheese tortellini
• 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
• 1/2 cup heavy cream
• 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
• Salt and pepper to taste
• Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Directions:
1. Cook Tortellini:
• Cook the tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

2. Cook Sausage:
• In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the Italian sausage and cook until browned and cooked through, breaking it into pieces with a spatula. Remove the sausage from the skillet and set aside.

3. Cook Vegetables:
• In the same skillet, add the sliced bell peppers and onion. Cook until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
