Ingredients:

8 slices of rye bread
8 slices of Swiss cheese
1 pound corned beef, thinly sliced
1 cup sauerkraut, drained
1/4 cup Russian dressing
Butter, for grilling

Directions:
Prep the Ingredients: Lay out the rye bread slices on a clean surface. Spread Russian dressing on one side of each slice. On four slices of bread, layer a slice of Swiss cheese, followed by a quarter of the corned beef, and a quarter cup of sauerkraut. Top with another slice of Swiss cheese and then cover with the remaining slices of bread, dressing side down.

Grill the Sandwiches:
Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Butter the outside of each sandwich and place it in the skillet. Grill for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is toasted and the cheese has melted. Press down lightly with a spatula for even grilling, but be careful not to squeeze out the fillings.

Serve:
Once grilled to perfection, remove the sandwiches from the skillet and cut them in half. Serve immediately while hot and melty.
