Ingredients

  • 3 potatoes

  • 1 teaspoon of salt

  • 2 tablespoons of sugar

  • 1 liter of water

  • ice

  • 1 cup of wheat flour

  • 1 cup cornstarch

  • oil

Instructions

  • Prepare the Potatoes: Cut the potatoes into slices, then into strips.

  • Soak: Transfer the strips to a container. Add salt, sugar, water, and ice. Stir well to combine.

  • Drain: After soaking, drain the water and place the potatoes on paper towels to dry thoroughly.

  • Prepare the Coating: In a separate container, add the wheat flour and sift it using a sieve. Do the same with the cornstarch. Mix both flours together well.

  • Coat the Potatoes: Place the dried potato strips in the flour mixture and toss to coat. Use a sieve to shake off any excess flour.

  • Fry the Potatoes: In a pan, heat the oil. Once hot, add the potatoes and fry until golden brown.

  • Drain: Remove the fries from the pan and place them in a container lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.

  • Serve: Enjoy your crispy French fries with your favorite dipping sauce!
