Delicious, Simple and Easy Cabbage Omelet

Here’s a delightful and straightforward recipe for a Cabbage Omelet that’s sure to become a favorite in your kitchen! This dish combines the earthy crunch of cabbage with savory flavors from chives, tomato, mortadella, and creamy mozzarella. It’s quick to prepare, making it perfect for a hearty breakfast or a light lunch.

Ingredients:

  • 200g cabbage
  • chives to taste
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons of wheat flour
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika
  • 50ml of water
  • ½ tablespoon of butter
  • 1 tomato
  • 3 slices of mortadella
  • salt to taste
  • 3 slices of mozzarella
  • parsley to taste (optional)

Way of doing:

Grate the cabbage, then place it in a bowl.
Cut the chives into very fine pieces, then place them in the bowl, next to the cabbage, add the egg, wheat flour, salt, black pepper, paprika, water and mix everything very well.
In a pan add the butter, stir until it melts, then add the mixture, spreading it well until it fills the entire bottom of the pan, let it fry for 3 to 4 minutes over medium heat.
Cut the tomato into slices, about the thickness of a finger.
Turn the mixture over in the pan and let it fry on the other side for another 3 to 4 minutes.
On top of the mixture, add the mortadella slices, then the tomato slices, salt, mozzarella, then close the omelette with the help of a spatula, then cover and let it cook for about 2 to 3 minutes until the cheese melt.

Add the parsley and help yourself!
