Ingredients:
For the Brownie Layer:

1 cup unsalted butter
2 cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
For the Cookie Dough Layer:
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup mini chocolate chips
For the Caramel Layer:
1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
1/2 teaspoon sea salt (optional)

Instructions
Prepare the Brownie Layer:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13 inch baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Stir in the granulated sugar until combined. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the brownies to cool completely.
Prepare the Cookie Dough Layer:
In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in the milk and vanilla extract.
Gradually add the flour, mixing until just combined. Stir in the mini chocolate chips.
Spread the cookie dough evenly over the cooled brownie layer.
Add the Caramel Layer:
Drizzle the caramel sauce over the cookie dough layer, spreading it gently with a spatula. If desired, sprinkle sea salt over the caramel for a salted caramel flavor.
Chill and Serve:
Refrigerate the layered brownies for at least 1 hour to set. Once set, cut into squares and serve.
