This hearty and flavorful dish combines tender cabbage leaves with savory ground beef, fragrant herbs, and a rich tomato-based sauce. It’s a perfect balance of comfort and taste, sure to satisfy both family dinners and special occasions alike.

Here’s how to bring this dish to life:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cabbage
  • 450g of ground beef
  • ½ cup unsalted cooked rice
  • ½ medium onion cut into cubes
  • parsley to taste
  • 1 ½ teaspoon of salt
  • black pepper to taste
  • 2 teaspoons of paprika
  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil
  • 6 tablespoons of tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon chimichurri
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 500ml of water

Way of doing:

Cut the top part of the cabbage, leaving the cut part in a lid shape, then remove the cabbage core so that it remains hollow.
In a bowl add the ground meat, cooked rice, onion, parsley, salt, black pepper, paprika, olive oil and mix everything very well with your hands so that the seasonings combine with the meat.
Shape this mixture into balls, then place them inside the cabbage, filling with these meatballs.
In a bowl add the tomato paste, chimichurri, black pepper, salt, garlic, water and mix everything very well until completely homogenized.
Transfer the stuffed cabbage to a baking dish, then pour the sauce inside the cabbage, until it is full and the rest of the sauce pours into the baking dish, then cover the cabbage with the piece that was cut previously, if you cannot close the cabbage remove some of the core from the lid and to finish, wrap the cabbage with aluminum foil and place in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 90 minutes.
