Philly Cheesesteak Stromboli

“Today, we’re making a delicious Philly Cheesesteak Stromboli that combines the flavors of a classic cheesesteak with the convenience of a stromboli. This recipe features seasoned ground beef, onions, green peppers, and garlic, all wrapped in flaky pizza dough and baked until golden brown. Finished with a generous layer of melted mozzarella cheese and a drizzle of Parmesan-peppercorn dressing.

Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef
½ onion, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp Italian seasoning
½ tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 (13.8-oz) can refrigerated pizza dough
1 (8-oz) pkg shredded mozzarella cheese
1 (8-oz) bottle Parmesan-peppercorn dressing, divided

Instructions:

Step 1: Preheat Oven
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).

Step 2: Cook Beef and Vegetables
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, onion, bell pepper, and garlic until the beef is browned and crumbly.
Drain the excess grease and return the mixture to the skillet.
Stir in the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

Step 3: Prepare Dough
Unroll the pizza dough on a large greased rimmed baking sheet and press it into a large rectangle.

Step 4: Assemble Stromboli
Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese over the dough.
Top with the beef mixture, leaving a 1-inch border on all sides.
Sprinkle with another 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese and drizzle with ¼ cup of the Parmesan-peppercorn dressing.

Step 5: Roll and Bake
Starting at one long side, roll up the dough, pinching the ends to seal.
Arrange the stromboli seam side down on the baking sheet.
Cut slits in the dough at 1-inch intervals.

Step 6: Bake
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until the stromboli is deep golden brown.
Let it stand for 10 minutes before slicing.

Step 7: Serve
Serve the sliced stromboli with the remaining Parmesan-peppercorn dressing for dipping.
