Bacon cheese fries are the ultimate indulgent appetizer, combining crispy French fries, savory bacon, and melted cheese for a delicious treat.

Ingredients:

  • 1 (26-ounce) bag frozen French fries
  • 1 pound bacon
  • 1 (8-ounce) bag shredded Colby Jack cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 jalapeños, seeded and chopped
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4 tablespoons cilantro, chopped
Bake the Fries:

Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper and add the bag of frozen French fries in a single layer.
Bake the French fries according to the package directions.

Cook the Bacon:

Chop the bacon and add it to a frying pan. Cook on medium heat until the bacon is cooked and crumbly. Remove to a paper towel to drain.

Prepare Jalapeno Ranch:

In a food processor, add the sour cream, cilantro, 2 tablespoons of the diced jalapeno, lime juice, salt, onion powder, and garlic powder.
Process on high until smooth and fully integrated.

Assemble the Fries:

Once the French fries are done baking, set them aside and reset the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C).
Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the French fries and then sprinkle on the cooked bacon.
Place the French fries back into the oven and bake for 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serve:

Remove from the oven and drizzle with the jalapeno ranch (if desired) and sprinkle on the remaining diced jalapeno.
Add any additional toppings such as sour cream, chives, freshly diced tomatoes, banana peppers, or black olives.
